Will it make my Beetle go faster?
Well I don’t have a Beetle, but if I did I may buy a quart for the LOLs.

There’s probably a rusted-out version of this can buried somewhere in a Fallout game. I approve.

10W60? Is that what older Porsches take?

It seems expensive until you try to figure out what the right oil to put in an air-cooled car is. $12/quart is a small price to pay to not have to read one more goddamn fucking forum thread.

![]() 04/15/2016 at 22:25 |

I’d say it’s worth the money just for the can alone.

It appears there’s a 20W50 blend for the 356, 914, and up to mid-70s 911s.

BMW’s S54 (and some other M engines) take 10W60. Castrol is the officially recommended one, but LiquiMoly, RedLine, Royal Purple and others all sell it.
Mind you, none of them will be any cheaper than this stuff. Not that hard to come by, though.

I have never seen 10w60 in my life.

Sure I think I will call the porsche dealer. But I hope my plebian request isnt met with rudeness. I once went into the dealer and asked for posters and the sales people were super friendly and really tried to help me and even gave me some dealer only turbo cab posters.

Shit, I pay more than $12/qt for non classic motor oil

I know. Everybody here is like “OMG THE CAN! But the oil is expensive :( “ 12 dollars really isn’t a lot of money.

Mobile 1, Royal Purple? That’s CAD, but also on sale. Normally around $14/quart.
Last time I changed the oil in my car it was $75 or so, including filter
